The RWA – England’s only regional Royal Academy of Art – showcases national and international visual art, featuring today’s foremost artists, including our own Academicians, alongside great artists from the past, with the aim of inspiring and nurturing creative talent.
Accessibility
The RWA has disabled access through its main entrance and level access to the cafe and shop on the Ground Floor. There is lift access to the Main Galleries on the First Floor as well as access to the Long Gallery and accessible toilet on the Lower Ground Floor. The Cube and Fedden Gallery are both fully accessible via an internal lift. We are able to offer a manually operated wheelchair, should you require its use on your visit to us. Toilets
The RWA's accessible toilet can be accessed on the Lower Ground Floor via a lift. The toilet door is wide enough for both manual and power wheelchairs and the interior is fitted with grab rails, 'easy turn' locks and taps, and an emergency pull cord.
