Rock Road Library, provides access to an extensive collection of books, DVDs, and audiobooks for browsing and borrowing, free use of PCs, scanners and Wi-Fi. Printing and photocopying is also available for a small charge. The library offers some engaging activities for children, and it is a great space for studying, meeting, sharing or just relaxing. Additionally, Rock Road Library can be hired during and outside of library opening hours at highly competitive rates. Opening times (staffed): Monday: 9am – 1pm Tuesday: 9am – 5pm Wednesday: Closed Thursday: 9am – 5pm Friday: 3pm – 6pm Saturday: 10am – 2pm Sunday: Closed Open+ access (unstaffed: pre-registration to Open+ required): Monday - 8am to 9am and 1.15pm to 7pm Tuesday - 8am to 9am Wednesday - Closed Thursday - 8am to 9am Friday - 8am to 3pm Saturday – 9am to 10am and 2.15pm to 4pm Sunday - 10 to 4pm We are delighted to offer unstaffed extended opening hours to over 16 years old full library members via our Open+ access scheme. During Open+ access times your library card becomes the key to open the library doors. Registered customers will be able to browse the shelves, use the free Wi-Fi, log onto a computer and print from the photocopier, relax and read. The self-services kiosks will be available to return and issue books. You can find out more about Open+ on our website. This library has a regular supply of books in audio format. Members of the library can borrow e-books and e-audiobooks through the apps Libby/OneDrive, BorrowBox and uLibrary. Members of the library can read e-magazines and e-newspapers through the app PressReader. There is a reservation service. The library has computers with accessible software. Auxiliary aids are available for computer users. A large text keyboard and height adjustable chair is / are available. Equipment available for people with a visual impairment includes a magnifier. There is a touch screen machine available to borrow and to return items. The touch screen is between 124cm and 154cm height from the floor.
