Venue Description

Set in the heart of rural Essex, RHS Garden Hyde Hall's glorious hilltop location offers sweeping panoramas, fair-reaching views and big open skies. Brimming with dramatic colour and texture whatever the season, Hyde Hall is famed for its Dry Garden, packed full of drought-resistant Mediterranean plants that thrive on rainfall alone. In direct contrast, the quintessential Hilltop Garden with its colour-themed herbaceous border, ponds and a fragrant rose garden, is bursting with colourful blooms to delight and inspire you. Then drift blissfully through Clover Hill with its vast swathes of grasses and perennials flowing down the hill giving the impression that the area is in constant flux. Finally, explore the Global Growth Vegetable Garden with its vast array of edible plants, from the everyday to the exotic, and then enjoy some its produce in our café and restaurant. • A beautiful garden that is an oasis of peace, yet a stone’s throw from the city of Chelmsford. • An eclectic range of horticultural styles to explore • Restaurant, café and garden centre
