Venue Description

Red Funnel was formed in 1861 as the ‘Original Isle of Wight ferry operator’. Today, we carry 3.4M passengers and 860,000 vehicles across the Solent each year. The Company operates 365 days a year, with 30,000 sailings between Southampton on the UK mainland and East and West Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Our fleet consists of modern purpose-built Ro-Pax vehicle ferries and Red Jet Hi-Speed passenger catamarans. Catering and retail services are provided in-house.

Assistance for blind and visually impaired passengers There is no charge for assistance dogs travelling as dogs are free of charge across all our services. If you are travelling as a foot passenger you can also have a companion travel with you free of charge.

Other assistance dog facilities

Enjoy a designated space for pets on board Red Eagle, Red Osprey and Red Falcon, the “North Lounge”, located on the upper passenger A deck. The lounge offers comfortable seating, room at foot for dogs, water bowls and an onboard café serving hot and cold drinks and snacks, as well as treats for dogs and water bowls in the lounge.
