Venue Description
Poulton Hill Estate was founded in 2010 and is situated in the idyllic Cotswold countryside, near the Roman town of Cirencester and Regency spa town of Cheltenham. Our 9,750 vines have been planted on the warm and sunny south-facing slopes of Poulton Hill Estate. These vines can produce up to 20,000 bottles of wine a year and we also produce English spirits, from grapes harvested by hand. These range from the white Bacchus, Seyval Blanc and Phoenix to the red Pinot Noir, Regent and Rondo. The grape varieties complement our climate, geography and soil perfectly. These are carefully blended and balanced by our experienced contract winemaker and distiller to create our range of award-winning white, rosé, red and sparkling wines and spirits. Did you know that our cellar door is open for you to view our range of wines, spirits and gifts? We offer special discounted cellar door pricing and also have Bibary Trout Farm produce available. Why not stop by to browse the range or enjoy some quality wine by the glass. Cellar Door opening times: The Cellar Door is open Tuesday – Friday 9-4pm and Saturday 11-3pm, with staff on hand to chat about any of our wines and spirits. If you wish to visit outside of these hours, it may be possible by appointment. Please call 01285 850257.
Accessibility
We have a step, no ramp into our small cellar door but no access to our little W/C. But we can easily serve the customer outside. They aren't able to easily access the vineyard due to bump terrain and often muddy as it's very much a working vineyard.
Awards List
Poulton Hill Vineyard has received multiple awards for its sparkling and still wines and also for its spirits. Against fierce competition from continental producers, Poulton Hill wines have regularly come out on top and we are proud that the quality of our produce has been recognised so widely.
