Hello everyone, As a solo traveller, using an electric wheelchair, I had checked the accessibility statement for the museum. I was genuinely very upset, after making a considerable effort to get there, to be told I would not be allowed to access further than the shop. Such a major limitation was not clear on the website. The only way I could be allowed in was if I used the museum’s own manual wheelchair with a carer. I was told it was an insurance matter. Further to what I had read It turns out that there is more info under a different accessibility equipment heading. In this information was a photo of my exact model within the main museum. I cannot in all good conscience score the museum anything other than the lowest score, AND warn any potential visitors. I really am sorry to be writing such a negative review, but the experience left me precariously close to tears!
