The Trust was set up in 1977 to provide Day Trips and Holidays on the Waterways for people of all ages with any kind of disability or serious illness.We have two wide beam boats and one narrowboat.Based in Loughborough on the Grand Union Canal the Day Trips start at 10.00am until 3.00pm.We employ a Full Time Skipper who will take Groups of up to 10 on 4 night holidays.The narrowboat is designed for families or groups of friends with a seriously ill or disabled member to hire for holidays on a weekly basis. Unforgettable experiences on the waterways travelling at 4 mph.
Accessibility
The Trust has 3 Boats all fitted with lifts to enable easy access and in particular for wheelchairs.The Base has specially adapted ramps for access on to the Boats.Outside toilets are available for easy access and on the boats again toilet facilities which will take wheelchairs.

There are 3 employees and 70 Volunteers all with different attributes.The Skipper has appropriate Qualifications in Caring and all Volunteers are trained as Crew for the Boats.Skippers have First Aid qualifications and shortly with use of defibrilators.
