PEDALL New Forest Inclusive cycling
Lyndhurst road, Burley, BH24 4HS, United Kingdom | 01590646640 | WebsiteVenue Description
PEDALL provides cycling sessions for people who face a barrier to accessing cycling on the New Forest off road cycle network. A barrier is anything that prevents someone from being able to cycle without additional support, it includes: Age Economic, cultural and social challenges Health issues Mobility issues Physical and intellectual disabilities Special educational need Recovering from Injury or Illness Anything else that prevents someone from being able to cycleAccessibility
We are based in the New forest so there is no Tarmac/concrete instead we have gravel which is compact enough for wheelchairs. So it is accessible but not the best, unfortunately we are restricted due to the nature of our location. There are no big steps .
Toilets
Our accessible toilet is step free. It's not the best, we'd love a changing place toilet but unfortunately we are heavily restricted by planning regulations in the area.
Staff
We have a small staff team who have undertaken various training over years of working in outdoor education. All ride leaders are qualified Cycle leaders are first aid trained and DBS checked. We have a strong group of volunteers who come from various backgrounds. We run in house training but nothing formal. We rely on our guests to provide us with information and we can assist when prompted by them
Assistance dog facilities
Assistance dog exercise facilities
As we are in the New Forest there are ample areas for dogs to exercise.
Other assistance dog facilities
We are happy to provide bowls if needed. There are no designated toilet areas and all dog poo needs to be bagged and taken home, this is due to being located in a SSSI.
