Paradise in Augustines
41 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EL, United Kingdom | 0131 510 0022 | WebsiteVenue Description
Paradise Green run two venues at the heart and soul of the largest theatre festival in the world. We are a not-for-profit organisation, run almost entirely by volunteers which aims to give opportunities for people to take part in all aspects of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including venue staff, performers and audiences. Paradise in Augustines is a lively and popular venue with a reputation for award-winning theatre, run by Paradise Green since 1998. Each August, Augustine United Church is transformed from a working church into two unique performance spaces. The Sanctuary, located in the Church's main hall, is a large and beautiful theatre space, and downstairs you'll find our versatile Studio, both seating over 100 people.Accessibility
Situated on George IV Bridge, Augustines is just seconds from the Royal Mile. There are three shallow steps outside the building and a ramp is available for wheelchair users upon request. Once inside, there is step-free access to both spaces. The Sanctuary is located on the ground floor level. The Studio is located one floor below, with lift access.
