An open air outdoor theatre space with a programme of drama, music, comedy and youth performances.

Accessibility

Step free access is available for all visitors via ramps and small inclines over natural terrain. As the theatre is built on a heritage site and we are fully open air, please be aware that some ground may be rocky or muddy, however we are currently in the process of installing access mats for these areas. Handrails are in place on all of our slopes and staircases, and we encourage audiences to take their time when moving around if there are any mobility concerns.

Accessible Performances

Financial and logistical barriers mean that we are unable to integrate BSL, Audio Description, or Creative Captions into every one of our productions. We will always do our best to find solutions to this, and provide relaxed and assisted performances when we can. Every performance has a flexible re-admittance policy, and we provide a dedicated access host at each show should you require any further assistance.

Awards List

We have undertaken a full access audit and disability equality training. As a part of this, our box office EDI policies are up to date in line with the Equality Act 2010, and we recognize the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.

Toilets

We provide portable bathrooms for all performances, including one wheelchair accessible cubicle.

Staff

All of our staff have attended Disability Equality Training, and we have an access consultant as part of our core team. This means everyone has a good level of knowledge and understanding about accessibility and inclusion, and have been equipped with the tools needed to best help you during your visit. Additionally, our staffing team is formed of a diverse range of people, from many different backgrounds. This means that we have lived experience of a variety of barriers and work hard to address these within the company.

All assistance animals are welcome at our venue. There is no designated assistance dog toileting area at the venue, however we have lots of open green space that you are welcome to use. Water bowls for assistance dogs are not provided, however you are free to bring your own and we will happily fill it up at the bar!
