Venue Description
O2 Academy Birmingham originally opened in the city in 2000 in Dale End with the venue bringing live music to the Midlands for almost a decade before it moved to its current home in Horsefair in 2009. Academy Music Group is committed to supporting new talent and has two additional smaller rooms, O2 Academy 2 Birmingham (600) and O2 Academy 3 Birmingham (250), for emerging artists to play in professionally equipped environments and is perfectly positioned for artists to return, playing to a larger audience on their development path.
Accessibility
O2 Academy3 is our smallest room and therefore does not have a dedicated access area but the venue is on ground level and is fully accessible. There is a lowered sections to the bar that is accessible for wheelchair users. The merchandise stand is located on the ground floor and is accessible throughout the show.

Awards List
The venue is signed up to Attitude Is Everything's Charter of Best Practice in 2006 and hold a bronze plus certificate. More recently, the venue has become a CredAble Provider and supports the Access Card http://credability.uk.com/access-card/

Staff have attended Disability Awareness training and are happy to assist as and when required and will always strive to ensure patrons have an enjoyable and stress free experience when visiting.
