Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is a family-owned, unique zoo set on a working farm in 100 acres of beautiful, peaceful North Somerset countryside located just 6 miles to the south of Bristol. The Zoo has an exciting, large animal collection of over one hundred species which includes African elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos and spectacled bears. The original hands-on approach has continued and today visitors enjoy close encounters with some amazing animals. Noah's Ark Zoo Farm is an all day attraction with Animal Keeper talks and displays ever half hour throughout the day. The attraction has a wide range of play areas to suit all ages and abilities, from an indoor soft play area aimed at under 5's, to amazing outdoor adventure play and accessible play area! Noah's Ark Zoo Farm also has a Parent and Toddler group running on Monday and Thursday Mornings in Term time.

Accessibility

Noah's Ark is working to ensure access for everyone and although Noah's Ark is built on a working farm, most areas are wheelchair accessible. They are partnered with Bristol's Mobility Centre and have a limited number of wheelchairs available to hire for free. They also have mobility scooters for available for a £10 hire charge. Please contact Noah's Ark Zoo Farm if you wish to book one in advance! Noah's Ark is working on a long term 'Ark for All' plan, the first stage of which has been completed and was opened on 25th July by Paralympian Andy Lewis. The new facilities include a Changing Places toilet, complete with hoist and changing bed, accessible play equipment including a wheelchair accessible roundabout and child-friendly accessible signage. The Ark Arena has a Hearing Induction Loop installed with a loud, clear PA system and make use of visual aids including highlighted steps, high contrast signs and painted picnic tables. In conjunction with the Ark for All project, Noah's Ark have created an accessible map with a suggested itinerary. You can download this before your visit to help plan your day out. The menu is available on the Noah's Ark Zoo Farm website to help visitors plan their day out. Carers for visitors with disabilities are given free entry to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm. No ID is required to gain a free essential carer ticket but these must accompany a paying guest.

Some staff have introduction to British Sign Language training. Customer Facing staff have Customer Service Training. Some staff have disability awareness training. Staff have Sunflower Lanyard training Most staff have become Dementia Friends through the Alzheimer's Society.

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Assistance dogs must be kept on the lead at Noah's Ark due to the welfare of other animals. Noah's Ark Zoo Farm permit assistance dogs that have been trained by a charity that is a member of Assistance Dogs UK, this is because they have been trained to perform certain tasks for their human partner and will have been thoroughly assessed to ensure they are not a risk to members of the public or other animals at the zoo. The zoo politely request the Assistance Dogs are identifiable with a lead or coat.
