The National Army Museum preserves and shares the real stories of ordinary people with extraordinary responsibilities. As the leading authority on our Army and its impact on society past and present, we seek to inspire, engage and educate the public through our world class Museum and collections. The five permanent galleries showcase the breadth and depth of the collections in new and engaging ways. We examine the history of the Army from the British Civil War to the modern day. We also explore the role of our Army and its relevance today. With special exhibitions, events, interactive displays and over 2,500 fascinating objects, there’s plenty to discover at the National Army Museum.

Accessibility

Both the main and group entrances to the Museum are accessible by wheelchair. The main entrance is level access from the Royal Hospital Road, and the group entrance is accessed by ramp. There is lift access to every floor of the Museum, from two centrally located lifts. Stairs are also available.

Accessible Performances

The National Army Museum offers a quarterly early opening of the galleries for visitors with additional sensory needs. They also run British Sign Language tours of exhibitions and galleries, and a storytelling offer for families. Check the website for the latest programming.

Toilets

The National Army Museum has toilets on every floor, and disabled access toilets on the ground and lower ground floor. There is also have a Changing Places facility on the ground floor.
