Disability History Trail at Museum of Liverpool
Created through co-production with disability community groups, Museum of Liverpool has launched a trail around the building which explores fascinating stories about Liverpool’s disability heritage. It includes 14 museum objects, ranging from medals awarded to Paralympian David Devine to a Barbie Fashionistas Doll with hearing aids.
You can explore the trail by following object markers and, at each point, you will find information that you can read or listen to using a QR code. Audio description and BSL interpretation is available for each object and a print copy of the trail is also available at the museum. If you want to follow the trail from home, you can also access it on the website, which has a complete audio-described guide, as well as images, text and BSL interpretation.
