Venue Description

700 acres of beautiful, unspoiled countryside, which contains a castle, visitor centre, theatre, restaurant, cafe, garden centre, playparks, bike hire, arts & crafts gallery and BBQ sites. We have a full programme of events to keep the whole family happy, or just come along, find a quiet space and chill! You can wander the park using our mobility scooter or duet cycle, both of which are free to borrow.

Accessibility

We have disabled parking bays in the car parks and the paths from there to the Visitor Centre, Courtyard and Garden Centre are all level. The theatre, walled garden and all cafes are fully accessible. There are disabled facilities within both the ladies and gents toilets, plus a separate disabled toilet in the courtyard. The immediate paths around the visitor centre are all in good condition for wheelchairs but the paths which are deeper in the park are a bit too rough. However, we do have a large mobility scooter and a duet bike which can be borrowed for free.

Accessible Performances

When visiting our theatre for any event please specify at the time of booking whether you would like to sit near the front, near the door etc. Please also let us know if you would like to park closer to the theatre or conference suite and we can arrange this for you. If you would like us to bring a mobility scooter up to your car please ask at the time of booking.

Toilets

In the courtyard the adapted toilet has step-free access, wide enough for a power chair, easy turn taps and a changing table suitable for children only.

Staff

Every member of staff is fully trained in first aid, with up-to-date certificates. They have all undergone training with Autism Scotland.
