Venue Description

Moss Side Powerhouse Library is a community library open to all between the hours of 11am & 2pm. From 3 - 7pm and on Saturdays the library is a Children and Young Peoples library. We offer a large selection of books, free computer use and free Wi-Fi. We have tables and chairs around the library that can be used to study etc. There are a limited number of charging points around the library for laptops and phones. We are a social space. We have a children's area and as part of our children's offer there are toys in the library and games that can be borrowed from the library reception to use in the library. During the winter months we are currently running as Warm Hubs and customers can help themselves to a free hot drink on staffed days. (Not Fridays)

Accessibility

Moss Side Millenium Powerhouse Centre front door is open. The library is situated in the building on the ground floor. Access to the library is immediately to your right as you come through the front door. It is a bit of a tight turn. There is a long gradual sloped wheelchair access to the building. The library is on the ground floor. The rest of the building is accessed through the main doorway via the receptionist on duty.

There is flat access to the disabled toilet. The toilet is in the main part of the building on the ground floor.

The Library is situated right next to Moss Side Park which allows for off lead exercise of dogs.

Other assistance dog facilities

The library does not have dog bowls. Dogs can be toileted in the park next door to the library.
