Venue Description
16th Century Elizabethan Manor house hotel built in the shape of an ‘E’ to commemorate Elizabeth I, in the beautiful Purbeck village of Corfe Castle. The beaches at Swanage, Studland and Lulworth are just a short drive away. The ‘Dacombe’ rooms are set in secluded gardens and equipped with high quality walk-in showers, and adjustable washbasins. The hotel received a Silver Award for ‘Accessible Accommodation’ in 2014 by South West Tourism.
Accessibility
The bedrooms have shower only 'wet rooms' (no bath), low level light switches, low level clothes rail in the wardrobes, under floor heating, and 32” Wall mounted flat screen TVs. Within the walled garden there is a large accessible patio table, Passive Infra-red lighting illuminates the pathway to and from the hotel. There is also a drop-off point near the hotel entrance. All of our public areas, lounges and dining room are easily accessible. There is a good circulation around the hotel and a level entry wheelchair WC is located close to the dining room.
