The day will start with the 5K parkrun. Register in advance on the parkrun website to get your barcode and bring it along on the day. Guides are available for visually impaired runners. Email ktdavies@christchurchandeastdorset.gov.uk for details.

Beyond the Boundaries Wheelchairs will have two Trekinetic wheelchairs for visitors to take for a spin in the park or have a go at the 4 hole pitch and putt course at the Golf Centre, 10am-2pm. Beyond The Boundary Wheelchairs and the Trekinetics are all about removing limitations and enabling people to access areas where perhaps they have been unable to go, and that is why they have teamed up with Moors Valley Country Park in celebration of Disabled  Access Day on 16th March.

Learn about wildlife in the Ranger Den 1pm-4pm with wildlife items to see, touch and smell and live animals on display.

A braille guide and mobility scooter map are available from the Visitor Centre. A Visual Story is available to download from Moors Valley’s website.

Tramper mobility scooters available to hire. Sign up on Disabled Access Day and get a FREE 2 week trial membership. To reserve a Tramper call the Rangers on 01425 470721.

Vehicle charges apply, however if your vehicle is tax exempt for disability bring along your exception documents and registration number to the Visitor Centre for validation.

On Disabled Access Day, Blue Badge, Dorset Max Card or My Max Card holders can receive free parking in exchange for filling out a feedback questionnaire.
