Milton Keynes Museum is located in the peaceful surroundings of Stacey Hill Farm, built early in the Victorian era as a model farm. It is located on the outskirts of Wolverton, one of the UK's original "railway towns". Today the buildings overlook the "new city" of Milton Keynes but when they were built they were in the middle of the countryside. Come and use the historic telephones and switchboards; see the museum’s Victorian Parlour, schoolroom, toy room and laundry; make toast in the kitchen; Also visit the street of period shops; see our Hall of Transport. The museum’s Granary Tea Room provides home-cooked light refreshments, including sandwiches and cakes. There is an outside picnic area with tables and chairs, and plenty of grassy space. A large range of products are available in Milton Keynes Museum’s shop. These range from quality gifts through to sweets and pocket money toy Milton Keynes Museum is all on one floor, so wheelchair and buggy friendly. Car parking is free. We are open from 10.30am to 4.30pm from February half term to 31st October - Wednesday to Sunday inclusive. Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays the rest of the year. Accessible toilets are available in reception/shop, cafe and new gallery with step free access. The doorways accommodate wheelchairs. Grab rails, easy turn locks and taps installed.

The majority of staff are volunteers, some with their own disabilities who will be aware of any issues. Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans are available where required (large print versions also available).

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the museum. Other dogs are only allowed in the museum if they can be carried. There are large grassy areas around the museum where all dogs can be exercised.
