A woodland and wetland nature reserve with 1.25 miles of flat, surfaced footpaths, numerous bird hides and the chance to see kingfishers, great crested grebes and a whole host of other amazing wildlife. In summer the reserve is alive with dragonflies, butterflies and an array of wildflowers in our meadow, in autumn fungi burst from the woodland floor. We have accessible toilets, a cafe, visitor centre and a regular programme of events. The reserve is accessible 24 hours a day, and our visitor centre/cafe is open Wednesday – Sunday (10am – 4pm).
Accessibility
The visitor Centre is all on one level, with accessible toilets. Our three bird hides, viewing screen and platform are all wheelchair accessible, as are most of our paths. We have route videos available, so that people can take a look at them before they visit.

Step-free access, wide doorway, grab rails and modified taps, space for wheelchair and an additional person.
