The Mayflower Theatre is one of the largest Theatres on the south coast, and one of the largest regional theatres in the country. We have an extensive range of shows performed on are stage ranging from west end musicals, plays, operas, comedians, ballets and we also have our very own youth theatre.
Accessibility
We have an accessible entrance on street level which takes you directly in to the auditorium. The accessible entrance also leads to a lounge area for any of are guest to use. The lounge area is equipped with an accessible toilet and staff who will take food and drink orders if customers would like any refreshments. All the doors have push pads which make it easy for customers to enter and exit the building. We have 14 wheel chair spaces in the auditorium 12 of these spaces are in the rear stalls and 4 spaces are in the rear circle (which is accessible by lift). We also have wheel chair access to are foyer area and box office, and access to are restaurant (Ovation) on the third floor via the lift in the foyer. We have a hearing loop system which customers can find out about at the front box office in the foyer. We also hold of seats for visually impaired customers information of this can be found out via the box office team.

Accessible Performances
We have a relaxed performance every year for the pantomime and when available we sometimes have relaxed performances for other shows.
Awards List
We have received awards from access for all which we received silver for in 2015-2016, and access and inclusivity awarded us gold in 2016-2017.
Toilets
We have four accessible toilets three are in the theatre and one is in the main reception of the theatre. Two of the accessible toilets in the theatre are accessible by lift and one is on street level in the accessible lounge. There is baby changing facilities in the accessible toilet in the accessible lounge. The toilets have wide doors for wheel chair access and easy to use electric locks.
Staff
The staff at the theatre in all departments pride themselves on customer service excellence. We also keep up to date with training across a wide spectrum of subjects (please see list below). Autism Awareness, Autism Ambassador, British Sign Language, Dementia Training, Evac Chair Training, First Aid, Growing audiences for audio description. Sighted Guiding and Welcome all training.

Any customer bringing in there guide dog staff can look after and take for a walk on the theatre grounds.
Other assistance dog facilities
All assistance dogs are allowed in any part of the theatre however if required staff at the theatre will look after them at the owners request.
