Overview
I have just come back from my stay at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth. As a young adult with Cerebral Palsy and a daily power wheelchair user, I can honestly say that it is the most accessible and accommodating hotel I have ever stayed in. The following are just a few reasons why... - Overhead hoists in the accessible bedrooms, along with profiling beds and shower wheelchairs available at request. Bars to transfer on and off the toilet and fitted shower seat in the rooms bathroom. - A Changing Places within the hotel, overhead hoist, shower table/changing bed height adjustable , toilet with bars and a higher lower sink to be able to adjust to the height of my wheelchair. Along with an assisted door to have the independence to enter and leave the changing places whenever I wanted and without help. A huge amount of space for myself and a carer when I required help though. - The incredible SENSORY ROOM at the hotel! I loved this, just to be able to have the time to completely relax really helped my mental health. This includes the bubble machines, fibre optic lights, projector and the option to connect your own music to the speakers in there! It is also £5 a session if you are not a hotel guest but would like to use the sensory room, I will definitely be doing this before my next visit. - The amazing ramped access down to the swimming pool and Ihoist located at the pool to allow us disabled guests to swim too! (I will be doing this in a summer trip for sure) - The lift that allowed me to enter at the front of the hotel regardless of the steps as well as flat access at the back. - Everywhere was accessible at the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They even have transfer boards available for the guests who don't want/need to use the hoists, but still need some assistance with transferring. - Overall, I think I have found the hotel that has fully accommodated to all my needs and it is the BEST hotel I have ever stayed in and I can't recommend it enough.

Staff
The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful, learning what help I need and telling me the equipment they had that could help me during my stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
