Venue Description
The Liverpool Empire theatre has the largest two-tier auditorium in Britain and can seat 2,381 people. During its time it has hosted many types of entertainment, including variety shows, musicals, operas, pop concerts, and plays. The theatre has hosted two Royal Command Performances and, a Royal Variety Performance to mark Liverpool's being designated a European City of Culture.
Accessibility
Entrance to the foyer is at the front of the building. There is a flat entrance into the foyer on the left. The foyer is large. Auditorium doors are straight ahead on the flat to stalls row U. Wheelchair access is also on row U. There are steps down from row T - L in the stalls before going back onto the flat for front stalls. Wheelchair access is available in the upper circle also. Access to these are via a lift which is on the ground floor level off the main Box Office.

Toilets
The venue has disabled toilet in the main foyer, lower stalls and up on the second floor. They are all fully accessible with support rails etc.

Majority of staff have had basic disability training. Viv Richardson is the designated Access Officer for the theatre.
