Venue Description
We provide support to older people, those living with dementia, poor health or mobility and those who care for them. Our services support people at home, at our community centre and at our clubs. we support people across Edinburgh in a variety of ways, through our services in the community, our bright, welcoming day clubs and at our buzzing community centre and community café. We have Meals on Wheels where we delivery freshly-cooked hot nutritious two course lunches to people across Edinburgh. We also have a Help at Home Service whereby we offer help to people who are finding it more difficult to manage everything at home. We support people with dementia, poor mobility or ill health, as well as those who care for them. We can provide assistance on a regular, long term basis or we can help you while you get back on your feet after illness or a stay in hospital; doing your shopping and keeping housework up-to-date until you recover fully. We will tailor what we do to what you want and need. We are also in partnership with Vintage Vibes, an award-winning project tackling isolation and loneliness in Edinburgh. Additionally, we have our Day Clubs which are here to help you or your loved one to get out and about, keep active and stay connected. The clubs do all sorts of activities. From keeping minds active with games and quizzes, getting creative with crafts and art, staying active with exercise classes and games, enjoying music with interactive musical sessions and performances, and getting out and about with trips all over Edinburgh. We also host groups, events and classes. There is plenty to do at the LifeCare Centre, with a variety of classes and groups to choose from every week. We have some brilliant rooms of all sizes for all sorts of classes, activities, social groups and events available for hire. And, by hiring our great-value rooms you also support our work in the local community helping people to live well and be independent at home.Accessibility
The centre and all it’s rooms are wheelchair accessible with a lift to access our upstairs rooms. There are no steps-all flat and wide doors to access the Centre and the Cafe. We have accessible toilets on the ground floor, all with emergency call buttons. While there are no Blue Badge parking spaces on Cheyne Street, single-yellow lines and Pay-and-Display spaces are available on surrounding side streets.

We have some classes running that are designed for those with additional learning needs as well as activities and day clubs for those with dementia and the elderly.
