Beautiful building but not very accessible

Overview
Beautiful building with lovely (but expensive) shops and cafes inside. Delicious houmous and pitta place, old camera shop with Polaroid film, and cool tattoo/piercing place and a number of clothes shops. Unfortunately for wheelchair access there is a notice on the door at the side saying that you have to ring a number to get someone to come unlock the door. If you can get up the three steps to the entrance there is a lift inside.
Transport & Parking
Parking next to the corn exchange, but often gets quite busy. It's a dirt car park so gets muddy and may not be good for wheelchairs. This is in town and next to the bus station so easy transport links.
Access
Needed to call someone to open the wheelchair accessible entrance. If can get up the three stairs at the front, there are two sets of heavy double doors with no automated opening. There are lifts but due to the layout of the corn exchange and lack of signs it is difficult to find the right door to find the exit and lifts. Some of the shops have a step in, but most are step free access. However they are all small shops and so may be inaccessible for wheelchair users.
Toilets
Did not visit the toilets - did not see a sign for toilets.
Staff
Staff for individual shops visited were nice. Security members for the corn exchange were friendly and helped with directions to lift.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Shame that it's not accessible, wouldn't recommend if concerned about access as probably not worth the effort or stress.
