Venue Description
Leeds City Museum is a fantastic free museum in the heart of Leeds. Visitors can discover our four floors of interactive and exciting galleries, from Ancient Egypt to modern day Leeds. Our family-friendly museum has six galleries to explore including a special exhibition space which changes every year. Come along to meet Nesyamun, the Leeds mummy, in his final resting place in the Ancient Worlds gallery; dig for fossils in the Life on Earth gallery, and come face-to-face with the Leeds Tiger. Stop off at the cafe for a slice of cake in a relaxing space that's also great for kids and pop to the shop on your way through the musuem to pick up a unique gift or souvenir. See our calendar of exciting events and exhibitions.
Accessibility
There is a ramp leading up to the main entrance of the museum, and an entrance to the Lower Ground floor via the cafe. The front doors are automatic/push button. The museum is over five floors with lift access to all floors.
