Venue Description
Laburnum Boat Club is a small children's charity, based in Hackney, East London. We provide social development through watersports activities to local young people and their families. We also run canoeing, kayaking, and rock climbing sessions and have 3 narrowboats for hire.
Accessibility
We have a fully accessible site, with ramps and a platform ramp into our buildings. We have a fully accessible toilet, changing room and shower and a wheelchair accessible boat that has a ramp and hydraulic platform lift to deck level.
Toilets
We have two accessible toilets on-site as well as an accessible changing room and shower. Please note that the small toilets on board our narrowboats are not accessible, but that our site facilities can be used before and after trips.
Staff
We have a full-time Inclusion Officer and several part-time Support Workers to assist on certain sessions, however all of our staff are trained in disability awareness and accessibility and have experience in this field.
