Accessibility

Level entrance from car park with automatic doors. Assistance at entrance for events should it be required. Elevator from Ground Floor of main auditorium to each level with unrestricted balcony views of main stage for conferences or events. Can assemble a stage ramp for speakers for Main Stage if required.

Public Use Accessible Toilets There is one public use fully accessible toilet in the corridor behind the Backstage Bar. This facility has fully automated push button opening and locking system. There is a baby changing facility in this unit. Backstage toilet door opening 86cm Floor width 180cm Floor length 239cm Clearance height from floor to sink base 61cm Floor to toilet seat top 50cm Height to lip of baby changing unit 80cm The unit has 2 vertical grab bars by the sink, 1 beside the toilet, 1 fixed horizontal bar and 1 dropping horizontal bar by the toilet. There are a number of mobility friendly toilet aids in both the male and female general public toilets beside this accessible unit. There is a mobility friendly toilet opposite the entrance to the shop. Baby-Changing Facilities Changing facilities for babies are available in the men’s and women’s toilets adjacent to the Library and in the accessible toilet by the Backstage Bar.

Staff Training Our staff receive ongoing management and operations training in accessibility awareness, diversity and inclusion. In so doing, we strive to offer the highest quality of service to all our guests and to be a leading inclusive employer. Staff and management do continuous updating of their training in Accessibility through the ENAT (European Network for Accessible Tourism) programme.
