Venue Description

Kenwood House features ornate interiors hung with masterpieces of art, set in its own tranquil landscaped gardens in the fine settings of Hampstead Heath.

Accessibility

The car park has reserved accessible parking. There is a drop off point at the East Lodge entrance. A mobility vehicle runs to and from the car park, and to the East Lodge or West Lodge entrance from Hampstead Lane. Please call ahead on 020 8348 1286. There is level access from the West Lodge and East Lodge entrance to the house and estate. There is a platform lift in the house providing access to the upper floors and lecture theatre. The staircase to the upper floor has a continuous handrail. Seating is available in most rooms. There are sloped gravel paths and benches around the grounds.

Accessible Performances

Kenwood offers British Sign Language and audio description tours. Toilets

There are level access accessible toilets in the service wing by the cafe. The have grab rails and easy to use locks.

Staff

All our staff have accessibility training and can assist you with your needs on arrival at the site. Key members of staff and volunteers are trained in audio description and basic BSL.
