Venue Description

Following a two million pound refurbishment what was once an unsightly ruin is once again an outdoor entertainment stage set against the green backdrop of Kelvingrove Park. Now boasting a 2500 capacity and modern facilities Kelvingrove Bandstand and Amphitheatre is fully equipped to host a variety of open air events including live music and dance, theatre and spoken word recitals.

Accessibility

Access is gained from the main entrance on Kelvin Way. There is a reserved accessible area with a raised platform for wheelchair users. For performers the bandstand itself is accessed from the path to the rear next to River Kelvin. This can be accessed by a path from Kelvin Way.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are provided in the same area as the raised platform. Due to the ad-hoc nature of events at the Bandstand these toilets are installed on a temporary basis by the promoter for each event. There are also additional public toilets adjacent to this area which can also be used during events. For performers the Bandstand has an accessible lift, toilets and shower facilities.

Staff

During performances additional staff are on duty to direct and assist customers.

Assistance dogs are welcome. The Bandstand is situated in Kelvingrove Park so there are ample suitable areas to exercise dogs.
