Venue Description
Unicorn is the oldest British-built ship afloat and Scotlands only example of a wooden hulled warship from the golden age of sail. Berthed in Dundee's historic Victoria Dock Unicorn houses a museum of The Royal Navy and Royal Naval Reserve, and is fitted out with a battery of 18 pounder guns, ship models, mess tables and hammocks, and the restored Captain's Cabin containing contemporary furnishings.
Accessibility
Limited disabled access to the Gun Deck, wheelchair visitors admitted free of charge, carers charged at concessionary rate. There is an audio visual presentation and a computerised virtual tour available. The visually impaired can be guided round the ship with a large number of the artefacts available to touch.
