At Henshaws Arts & Crafts we make more than art. We bring people together in an atmosphere that never fails to inspire. Through our workshops, people living with a range of disabilities discover their talents, put them into practice and realise their full potential. Open to all we have an Arts & Crafts Centre which is a community hub where creativity, friendships and opportunities come to life. We've regular events and activities for all the family. Accessibility

Completely flat paved / tarmac paths around centre (slight slope in Woodland walk). Carved handrails with different patterns for easier navigation. Tactile signs and Braille signs.

Overhead hoist on request. Changing places toilet (key available from office)

Staff

Several workshop leaders are trained to support those with additional communication e.g. BSL, tactile communication. Information is provided in plain English. For those needing a specific communication plan, please contact our Disability Support Service.

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Well behaved dogs (on a lead) are welcome throughout the Centre. The Centre is set within Conyngham Hall; a large park with free access to the grounds.

Other assistance dog facilities

Water bowls are available at the rear of the cafe / in the cafe by request. We also have an accessible woodland walk at the rear of the centre
