Sleeps up to 4. In the heart of the pretty, historic village of Blythburgh with its stunning estuary views and a short drive to Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich, Hawthorn Lodge offers light and spacious accommodation all on one floor. Open to the eaves, each room is flooded with extra light through the skylights. Equipped for wheelchair use throughout with levelled access, sliding pocket doors, adjustable height worktop sink and hob unit wheelchair adaptable, and wet room. A relaxing, stunning space for a holiday, The Lodge has a large sitting area with its cosy wood-burning stove – not that you will really need it with the underfloor heated, slate floor running throughout the property – cool in the summer and toasty warm in winter. Bask in the sunshine in the large, secluded garden with its extensive lawn and shrubs, paved terrace, dining area and barbecue. Amble down the local footpath to delight in the spectacular views, walks and birdlife across the reedbeds and estuary of the Angel Marshes between Walberswick, Southwold and Blythburgh – an area of outstanding natural beauty.

With levelled access throughout, pocket doors and ample space in each room, Hawthorn Lodge is fully accessible for wheelchair users. The kitchen has an adjustable height worktop sink and hob unit. In the large wet room, we supply two suction grab rails, a suction shower head holder, a non-slip bath/shower mat, and a height adjustable shower chair. If you require other mobility equipment, it can be hired in. Levelled access inside and outside through the garden path to the paved terrace, dining area and barbecue and through to the private parking area.
