Venue Description
Hanwell Wine Estate is a second generation family run vineyard in South Nottinghamshire owned by William and Helenka Brown.
The vineyard story began in the 1970s when Helenka’s parents moved to a house in West Bridgford, South Nottinghamshire where they found a vine in a dilapidated greenhouse in the garden. This started a life changing path for the family. Eglantine Vineyard www.eglantinevineyard.com was subsequently planted in 1979 and has been producing delicious and award winning Nottinghamshire wines ever since.
William and Helenka have chosen to follow in the family footsteps and plant their own vineyard, this time in Hickling Pastures, called Hanwell Wine Estate. Hanwell is a mash up of their children’s names!
