Overview

An interesting place to visit. Access is fairly good if you can manage the cobbles at the entrance.

There isn't any parking nearby and public transport is some distance away.

Access

Getting into the churchyard involves going over several metres of cobbles. I found it OK in a powerchair; albeit uncomfortable. Setting that aside you soon get on to a tarmac path which is much better. A viewing plaque shows you the layout of the churchyard and explains some of the history. You can see the grave of Geryfriars Bobby as that's next to the path. You can't miss it as it's usually adorned with various "gifts" and messages. Entrance to the Kirk is through a modern set of glass doors. If these aren't open then staff and volunteers will help. Once inside there's plenty of space.

Toilets

There are no accessible toilets in evidence.

Top marks for the volunteer guides. Very helpful, friendly and informative.
