Glasgow’s centre for lovers of film, Glasgow Film Theatre has been leading the way in specialised cinema for forty years. From art house cinema to late night cult screenings and from classics back on the big screen to independent documentaries, there's something for everyone at GFT. In 2017 GFT was named Accessibility Champion in the Scottish Council on Deafness Star Awards. In 2017 GFT became the first cinema in the UK to receive the Autism Friendly Award from The National Autistic Society and in October 2017 we launched a regular dementia friendly film programme for people affected by dementia.Accessibility

Accessible Performances
Take 2 Access - on the 1st Saturday of every month we offer relaxed screenings in a low sensory environment for children and young people with Autism and/or additional support needs. Access Film Club- on the 2nd Monday of every month we offer an autism-friendly film event for people aged 15+. Everyone is welcome Visible Cinema- varied day monthly D/deaf-friendly and Hard of Hearing-friendly film programme. Everyone is welcome. Movie Memories - on the 3rd Thursday of every month we offer dementia-friendly film events designed for people affected by dementia. Everyone is welcome A wide range of Captioned and Audio Described film screenings every month.
Awards List
