Glas-Denbury is a nod to the festivals of yesteryear; authentic, accessible, safe and friendly, quite simply the most colourful, family friendly Music & Arts event in the South West! The festival is located on a beautiful green site amongst the rolling Devon hills and is a collaboration of like-minded people who create a colourful, happy, safe event suitable for all ages. Whether you are a seasoned or first-time festival goer, a family with young children, someone wanting to enjoy a weekend child free, or simply exploring the arts we have in this inspirational region, Glas-Denbury has something for everyone. Glas-Denbury is all about people and all about the South West and features multiple stages across a beautiful site in the midst of the rolling Devon hills, with Dartmoor in one direction and the sea in the other. Multiple stages offer music, entertainers, poets, comedians, speakers with plenty of activities and free workshops. When you fancy a boogie, the Silent Disco has a line up of the best DJs around so don those headphones and start dancing! The Butterfly Bazaar offers wonderful shopping opportunities, the bar offers a fine selection of SW real ales, ciders and lagers and the handpicked food stalls serve up delicious, local, quality foods. Everything happens in one field, creating a safe, accessible and friendly environment! Camping and Glamping is available, with a dedicated accessible camping area. Gates for camping open from 2pm Friday through to 4pm Sunday and the festival arena opens Friday at 5pm and all day Saturday. We have a dedicated car park, with an accessible car parking area as well as family parking, both near to the entrances. We also are passionate about sustainability and offer a shuttle bus to and from he local town/rail station at Newton Abbot. Glas-Denbury is for everyone and we warmly welcome all guests. We do everything we can to ensure accessibility for all. We are committed and passionate about endeavouring to fulfil any of our guests’ requirements and help where we can. We have a dedicated accessibility team, ensuring our guests needs are met as much as possible and every year we endeavour to develop and grow the accessibility of the festival, based on feedback and suggestions from our guests. We take advice from local and national organisations as to how we can continue to improve on our accessibility for everyone. The site is farmland, with the camping, car park and arena all grassland. Some areas can be a little more uneven than others, but we have stewards and a team on hand should you need assistance getting to/from the arena and within the arena we can provide this between areas. Glas-Denbury isn't a huge site; it is laid out over just 3 fields, with the arena all in one field. This what makes it so safe, accessible and beautiful with everything within easy reach. We are committed to working with our guests’ individual needs wherever possible so please do not hesitate to contact us if any questions you have are not answered below or you have any other concerns. ACCESSIBLE PARKING/DROP OFF The car park is located right next to the arena and campsite, so it is not far to go between vehicles and campsite/arena. There will be dedicated teams available with vehicles to help. Accessible parking is still located near to the main arena entrance/camping entrance is available for Blue Badge holders and we endeavour to park families with children as close to the entrance as well. Please ensure your Blue Badge is displayed on arrival together with your car parking pass. A drop off point is also located nearer to the entrance. SHUTTLE BUS/PUBLIC TRANSPORT We offer a shuttle bus bewteen Newton Abbot and the festival site - linking with the rail system there. There is also a public bus service running - full details are on our website. We do encourage car sharing where possible if you need to drive. ACCESSIBLE CAMPING This is located close to the campsite entrance with dedicated accessible toilets. Sadly, we are not allowed to bring cars in next to tents, but we have a dedicated team and vehicles, to provide you with assistance from the accessible car park area close to the camping entrance, into the accessible camping area. FAMILY CAMPING We have an area of the campsite for family camping with children, pitches available on a first come first served basis. CAMPSITE/ARENA ASSISTANCE The campsite is located close to the arena, but we still have a dedicated team and vehicles available to assist you if required. You are welcome to contact us prior to arriving to let us know if you may need help, or of course on arrival please just locate a steward who can organise help for you. TOILETS We have MOBILOO on site, located in the arena. They provide a large space with adult changing bed, hoist and toilet, manned by staff throughout the festival. Accessible toilets are also situated both in the car park, arena and in the campsite. We take great pride in our toilets and our toilet fairies ensure they are checked, cleaned and fully stocked with toilet paper at all times! Stewards are always on hand should you need any assistance. BABY BLOOM COCOON Within the arena you will find the “Baby Bloom Cocoon” - a relaxed environment where families with babies and toddlers will find space for feeding, playing, learning and so much more. The trained and skilled team there can assist with bottle and food heating, nappies, wipes and all things baby! More details can be found on our website. COMMUNICATION SUPPORT We have crew members on site who may be available to assist with British Sign Language or another communication method to communicate with hearing people. We are currently working on braille signs on site - watch this space. FOOD We take great pride in ensuring we have a wide range of foods available in our Butterfly Bazaar, including foods that meet any dietary requirements. We ensure our food traders offer quality, local sourced foods at reasonable prices with child portions available. If you should need to bring your own specialist foods, please let us know in advance so that we can arrange access for you (as no food/drink is allowed into the arena) and this can be stored in the fridge (see Information Tent) INFORMATION The information tent is located within the main arena, with charging points, and a team located there on hand to assist you in any way they can. There will be a fridge available for the storage of medicines or specialist foods - please contact us prior to arrival to let us know if you may need to use this? QUIET AREA Should you need a quiet area to take time out from the festival, head to the information tent where they will show you through to a quiet area put aside especially for this. ASSISTANCE DOGS We welcome assistance dogs on site - by prior arrangement only and can of course provide water bowls for them and directions to the nearest area where they can be exercised (off lead) VIEWING AREAS We provide an accessible viewing area within each stage tent; please note however that this may mean you are very close to the speakers and higher noise levels. Space will be on a first-come, first-served basis. PAs are welcome to use these areas as well when accompanying a disabled access guest - please speak to the stage stewards. SECURITY AND SAFETY Security and Stewards are clearly identifiable on site together with crew. If you have any queries or require assistance in any way, please speak to them at the event. FIRST AID/MEDICAL ASSISTANCE EMS provide 24 hour medical assistance on site throughout the whole festival. They have a full medical unit on site as well as an ambulance. Located in the main arena by the entrance and should you need assistance please let the nearest crew member know so that they can immediately radio the first response team. Please do advise us of any specific needs and requirements you may have, if possible before you arrive at the festival, so that we can work with you to ensure we have put everything we can in place for you prior to your arrival. PERSONAL ASSISTANT (PA) TICKET SCHEME t&cs We offer complimentary Personal Assistance Tickets (subject to availability and an application deadline) Please head to the website for the form or do email glasdenburytickets@gmail.com and one of the team will be happy to help you. *Complimentary Personal Assistant tickets are available on application for ticket holders, subject to an application process. *The deadline for PA ticket applications is May 31st and are subject to availability. *Applicable documentation must be presented for the PA ticket to be considered. Tickets are issued at the discretion of the festival. *Car Park/Campervan passes/Caravan passes/Glamping etc must be purchased additionally and are subject to availability. *Personal Assistant tickets are non-transferable and both the ticket holder and Personal Assistant must arrive at the festival together or tickets will not be valid.
