Venue Description

Geevor Tin Mine is the largest preserved mining site in the UK where visitors can explore many surface buildings, including the atmospheric Miners' Dry and hands-on Hard Rock Museum that tells the fascinating story of Cornish Tin and Copper Mining. Discover how the rock was brought up from underground and processed in the Mill before you can head underground. There you will find out what it was like to work in a real 18th century Cornish tin mine. Relax and enjoy the fantastic coastal scenery, the spectacular views across the Atlantic Ocean or take part in the various school holiday events. There is a Shop with an extensive range of quality gifts and a cafe with breathtaking views where pasties are made daily on the premises.

Accessibility

There are ramps on most of the surface buildings that are wheelchair friendly, a lift suitable for wheelchairs in the museum. However, the Mill and Underground section are not accessible for disabled visitors.
