In the heart of Galloway Forest Park, Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre sits on the shores of the loch, offering the chance for a lovely lunch or excellent elevenses with a gorgeous view. It's also the ideal place to discover why Galloway is internationally-designated as a Dark Sky Park for its stargazing, if you come after dark.Accessibility
There is step-free and fully accessible access from the car park to the visitor centre. There is also a ramp from the visitor centre to the Lochside picnic area. All the toilets, including the accessible toilet, are immediately outside the visitor centre. The Bruce's Stone trail leaves from the visitor centre and is graded easy (although not designated wheelchair accessible). For more information and opening hours, please see our website.

All the toilets, including the accessible toilet, are immediately outside the visitor centre. The accessible toilet has unobstructed turning space of at least 150cm x 150 cm and has a spatula type flush.
