Fort Kinnaird is Scotland’s largest outdoor shopping centre, with over 70 stores and restaurants. It is situated just off the A1 and is easily accessed by car with 2,600 free car parking spaces and public transport available. Retail stores include Boots, M&S, H&M, Primark, Pandora, Next, TK Maxx and ProCook. Fort Kinnaird’s leisure and dining offering includes a seven-screen Odeon, Five Guys, Wagamama, Pizza Express, Nando’s, Fridays and Starbucks.

Fort Kinnaird offers exceptional accessibility services. The car park has over 126 spaces for blue badge holders, allowing for easy access to retail, restaurant and leisure areas. Fort Kinnaird has created free sensory backpacks and a Social Story for those with additional support needs (ASN) or sensory conditions. The backpacks contain ear defenders, earplugs, communication cards, a fidget spinner, stress ball and reusable water bottle. The Social Story is a useful guide which breaks down possible challenges people with autism might face during a visit to Fort Kinnaird. The guide comprises of useful images of the centre, customer service points, tips on what to expect during a visit, and much more. Both of these can be collected from the Management Suite. All Fort Kinnaird staff are all trained on the Hidden Disability Sunflower scheme and the centre is a Disability Confident Employer. The website also has accessibility tools installed. Toilets and Changing Places There is an accessible toilet within the centre, the location of which can be found on this map, and also a Changing Places facility. This is located next to Currys PC World and offers: • A bench (height adjustable, adult sized, free standing and wall mounted) • A hoist (ceiling and loop) • A peninsular toilet • A height adjustable washbasin • A non-slip floor (20 sq. m) • An emergency alarm • A privacy screen • A paper roll • An accessible shower The Changing Places toilet is open until 9pm and is accessed using a radar key, which can be acquired from the Management Suite next to the facility, should you not have yours with you.
