Venue Description

Flaxman Sports Centre is a leisure centre between Brixton and Camberwell. Facilities include a gym, four court sports hall, two squash courts, and exercise studio.

Activities such as gym and court bookings are available on a casual basis to both members and non-members. We also work with a range of partners to deliver additional sports and activities such as kick boxing, taekwondo, karate, basketball and badminton

Accessibility

The surrounding streets have dropped curbs and there is a ramp to the main entrance. A stair lift is available for access to the first floor.

Toilets

Our accessible toilets are wide enough for wheelchairs, have handrails at the correct height, low level utilities, and emergency cords.

Staff

All Better staff undergo Safeguarding training and where possible, disability equality and awareness training. Many of our Fitness Instructors have undertaken additional courses and modules to further their knowledge and understanding specific to disability.
