Alzheimer Scotland Fife Services are here for anyone who is worried about or diagnosed with dementia, their families, friends and communities. Just phone us or check our website for more details. Our Dementia Advisors offer advice and support, information sessions and carer support groups. Our Activity Organisers offer a wide range of social interest groups both here in our Resource Centre and accessible community venues across Fife. Our Outreach Team provide personalised outcomes based support to individuals for up to 6 months. We also offer day care sessions within the Resource Centre.Accessibility
The Resource centre is single level throughout. Entrance is via the Kirkcaldy Bus station, our front door is behind stance 7. There are two sets of double doors which are kept open and a third set of double doors with secure intercom entrance at a height suitable for wheelchair users. We have a mixture of open and closed meeting spaces, all closed spaces have double or wide doorways.
Toilets
We have mens and ladies toilets plus a stand alone accessible toilet. This has a wide door with single lever lock. Comfort height seat, lever flush. A small wash hand basin and hand drier at a height suitable for wheelchair users and an assistance pull cord. The room is well sized for wheelchair users.
Staff
All staff have training and experience in supporting people who are living with dementia. The team are friendly welcoming and supportive.
