Eyam Parish Church of St Lawrence
Church Street, Hope Valley, S32 5QH, United Kingdom | 01433630930 | WebsiteVenue Description
Eyam Parish Church: A Church with a heart for God and a heart for our community. The Parish Church of St Lawrence is located in the village of Eyam in Derbyshire’s beautiful Peak District. Eyam is noted for the historical reality of the plague in 1665-66, commemorated in the village and in the church itself. But Eyam Church is not a museum looking to the past. We are a lively, worshipping community where God is active today. We are a church of all ages, and we are looking to serve the God of the Bible. Our vision is to be a church with a heart for God and a heart for our community. Why not come and give Eyam Church a try? The people of Eyam Parish Church are very aware and embarrassed that at present our church has exceedingly poor accessibility. BUT this will change as we are in the process of a major reordering project with to provide 'Access for All'. We are initially focusing on physical access at the porch, an internal ramp and improved fire exits. Then will come changes to the signage, the audio/visual display, the heating, lighting, seating and a changing places toilet, etc. Watch this space and help us provide for everyone to join us.Accessibility
