Mersea Island Festival
The Mersea Island Festival brings together children, young people and adults with or without a physical or learning disability and are ideal for families as well as Inclusive clubs, Phab and Gateway clubs and Youth Groups. The camps provide an opportunity to try out new activities, make new friends and have loads of fun!!!
Taking place each August on the Essex coast, the Festival includes a wide variety of activities that are fun and exciting but also challenge and stimulate, helping to build the confidence and feelings of self-worth in participants. Activities may include archery, inflatable fun, zip wire, climbing, dancing and music workshops, circus skills, swimming, speedboat, fishing, art activities including pottery, carving and tie-dye, water-skiing, pitch and putt, discos, karaoke, live music, big screen cinema and quad bikes.
Accommodation is mostly under canvas but we do have some beds in cabins for those who find it impossible to sleep in a tent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining hall and other snacks and drinks are also available. A bar is open during the entertainment each evening.
