Essex Outdoors is committed to providing inclusive opportunities for children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs, enabling them to try new activities, build self confidence and gain the most from their outdoor experience. Our experienced instructors and centre staff provide accessible activities and residential experiences for individuals and groups tailored to the needs of the participants alongside their peers and supporters. With accessible accommodation, facilities and equipment at all our centres, we endeavour to ensure participation and adventure for all.

Toilets

The centre has two unisex wheelchair accessible changing/ shower rooms – one with a ceiling hoist. There are three wheelchair accessible toilet/ shower rooms, two wheelchair accessible showers and two wheelchair accessible toilets. The toilets/showers have grab rails and easy turn taps and a changing table, shower trolley and portable hoist are available.

Our staff have received disability awareness training and have a wide range of experience of working with those with a disability.
