Venue Description
Have an unforgettable day out at Edinburgh Zoo, home of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) and over 2,500 incredible animals from around the world! Set in over 82 acres of wooded hillside, the zoo is open seven days a week and is a gateway to the natural world, where you can experience nature, learn about the challenges facing wildlife and discover how our wildlife conservation charity harnesses the unique power of the RZSS family to save animals from extinction. With more of you planning to see our ROARsome animals and enjoy our outdoor spaces, it is important to be aware of what to expect on the day, including the benefits of booking your ticket in advance, our limited car parking spaces, queues for entry and more. For the latest visitor information, please head to our website edinburghzoo.org.uk Please be aware that indoor and outdoor viewing for any of our animals may be closed at short notice for health checks and welfare reasons. Thank you for helping to create a world where nature is protected, valued and loved. We hope you have a wild day outAccessibility
Visitors with disabilities, or those who require special assistance, are offered free admission for one accompanying carer when they pay the full adult/child price. Many of the paths around the Zoo can be accessed by wheelchair. We are pleased to be able to offer a dedicated mobility vehicle to allow easier access to certain areas of the Zoo (whilst we aim to have this running everday please be aware that breakdowns and faults do happen). If you wish to request the use of the vehicle, please speak to a member of staff on arrival. A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available for free hire from the main entrance. A £10 deposit is required, which is fully refundable.
