Venue Description

Dorsett Shepherds Bush, a 317 bedroom hotel is Shepherds Bush, welcomes people with disabilities and has developed an Access Statement to address some of the more common issues that disabled people face. Recognition has been given to include guests with an impairment, which could include: Mobility, Sight, Hearing, Learning Disabilities or any hidden impairment. Dorsett Shepherds Bush understands that every guest has different needs and is committed to ensure that our hotel facilities are accessible to all of our guests and associates equally.

Accessibility

The main entrance is on Shepherds Bush Green offering level, paved, access. The majority of visitors will enter the building through the main entrance, an automatic revolving door, however there is an automatic pass door either side of the main entrance, operated by way of a hand pressed “press to enter/exit” button for both entering and exiting, along with a ramp down to Reception. A secondary entrance is located at the side of the hotel, with level access in to the building. This entrance is the closest to the hotel drop off point, valet parking area and disabled bays. There are 3 lifts.

Accessible Performances

Restaurant tables and chairs can be moved. Lighting levels in the restaurant are generally lower in the evenings. Menus can be enlarged upon request. Please inform us of any dietary requirements on booking or arrival. The 3 meeting rooms are located on the ground floor.

Toilets

A unisex accessible toilet is located both on the ground floor and at basement level. They are fitted with grab rails and an alarm, along with baby changing facilities. The toilet located in the basement can be accessed via the guest lift. Separate male and female toilets can also be found in the basement.

Staff

Porters are available to offer assistance at both entrances of the hotel. The reception desk is 113cm high. Registration can be completed whilst sitting and we have clipboards available upon request. The registration card can be enlarged and a hotel associate will be on hand to fill it out if required. Vibrating fire pagers are available on request. For guests staying in the hotel we will ensure you are fully aware any emergency procedures and your requirements are taken into account. Small fridges are available in all bedrooms and can be used for the storage of medication.

Bowls can be provided for assistance dogs for food and water and there is a dog toilet at the rear of the hotel. There is no surcharge of maintenance or cleaning fee for customers with an assistance animal.
