Accessibility

Crealy Theme Park & Resort has been designed for guests with disabilities and/or additional access needs firmly in mind. All of our team are trained and enabled to recognise the individual needs of our guests and will do everything possible to ensure all guests with additional needs have a safe and memorable visit. Crealy have two accessible attractions on the Theme Park, an ability swing and roundabout - located near Sooty Land. Carers Admission Rates Guests with the following documentation, will be valid for a discounted carer's ticket: 1. Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance award letter (dated within the last 12 months). 2. Personal Independence Payment letter (dated within the last 12 months). 3. A current and valid Blue Badge with photo. 4. Letter from GP or consultant (dated within the last 12 months) confirming the need for a full time carer. This does not need to be a letter of diagnosis. PLEASE NOTE - All documentation must be accompanied with photo identification. Our policy is designed to accommodate all disabilities, some of which are not easily identifiable and therefore to avoid any unintentional offence, ID is requested on all occasions. Carers must be at least 16 years of age and of sufficient fitness to provide the level of care required. For everyone’s safety, if the disabled person requires lifting, this will be the responsibility of his or her carer. In addition to the discounted entry ticket, we offer a free ride access pass for guests who due to their disability are unable to use the regular ride queue lines. Ride Access Pass At Crealy Theme Park & Resort, we recognise that certain guests may require additional assistance in order to fully enjoy their visit, so to help we offer free Ride Access Passes. This service is designed to make reasonable adjustments to assist guests who have a recognised medical condition which prevents them from being able to queue for a particular ride or attraction. This service is available to: Guests who are wheelchair dependent Guests who experience difficulties with queuing or those who may not understand the concept of queuing or are unable to queue for any lengthy period. Guests that have a physical disability that may impede the queuing experience This allows the disabled person and their carer(s) to access rides as quickly as possible enabling them to enjoy a full day out. The ride access pass gives the disabled person and up to 3 other people access to the rides via the ride exit. This can only be used once per ride, per day. Guests who qualify for the Ride Access Pass scheme must provide some form of documentation stating the nature of the disability. Ride Access Passes will only be issued based upon documented proof of disability such as a GP’s letter, association membership details, council run membership or anything from an official body that helps us understand how the nature of yours or a party members disability may affect you in a theme park environment. Please note: We do not accept blue or orange badges as proof as they do not fully explain the nature of any disability. Although we don’t expect any carer to ride, they will be required to be in attendance when the Ride Access Pass is being used. Statement on ride safety for guests with disabilities Crealy Theme Park is a member of the British Association of Leisure Parks Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) and welcomes visits by people with all disabilities and will do everything possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit. Risk assessments and policies are reviewed to ensure the park remains as accessible as possible to all guests with disabilities, including wheelchair users. However, certain rides and attractions can be physically demanding and vigorous. Crealy Theme Park & Resort therefore reserves the right to refuse admission to certain rides should it be felt there is a danger to a particular individual for whatever reason. Crealy Theme Park & Resort has been advised by the Health and Safety Executive that refusal on the grounds of health and safety does not constitute discrimination. Not all rides are suitable for all guests and each has strict operating requirements based on the containment of the ride, the force of the ride and the evacuation procedure. These are set in accordance with external ride inspectors' requirements and exceptions will not be made. Our team members have to follow all rules and restrictions for health and safety reasons therefore please do not ask the team to break these rules; they are there for your safety. Crealy Theme Park & Resort welcomes guests with disabilities, and we will do everything possible to ensure they have a safe and pleasurable visit, and are able to participate in as many activities as possible. Nearly all paths are flat and are tarmac surfaced. There is a special car parking area nearer to the main entrance for blue badge holders. We cannot always guarantee a space and therefore it is important to arrive early to avoid disappointment. All restaurants and shops are wheelchair accessible. There are ample toilet facilities for guests with disabilities. Manual wheelchairs are available to hire from our Ticket Office free of charge. Please note wheelchair hire must be pre-booked. You can do this by calling 01395 233200. We have a queue Assist Policy to enable guests who are unable to queue priority access on to our rides. Admittance is allowed for registered, fully trained assistance dogs. A vast majority of the rides and attractions at Crealy are designed to be fully accessible to disabled. guests therefore we do not offer a discounted disabled rate. Assistance dog facilities

Guide dogs are welcome in to the park however, for safety reasons, dogs will not be able to accompany guests onto the rides. Guide dogs may accompany their owner as far as the loading point, but please ensure that guide dogs are left with another member of the group and not left unattended.

Other assistance dog facilities

Unfortunately no dogs or other pets can be admitted into the park except Assistance Dogs. Also, for the wellbeing of all dogs we don’t allow anyone to leave them in a car by themselves in our car park, however we do have limited kennels available which are free to hire service in exchange for a £20 key deposit. Please bring with you any items that will make your pet’s stay more comfortable i.e. water bowl, food or treats as well as any bedding, toys etc. Pets can only occupy the kennel from 10am until 4.30pm. The pet owner will be responsible for cleaning up after their dog/s Kennel spaces are limited and therefore we always recommend that you pre-book your kennel by calling 01395 233 200 prior to your visit. Once booked kennel keys can be collected from window 6 of the main ticket office at the entrance to the park. We ask that you return to your dog at least once during the day to check on their welfare. We will ask for your contact details so that we can call you if your pet gets distressed.
