It is a bit of a ride, although a pleasant enough ride, but is exposed, so not to pleasant if raining, so we suggest your driver drops you off outside the main entrance for the mansion, where a very friendly valet parking attendant will greet you, and arrange for a buggy to follow your driver to the car park, and bring them back to the house from there, an ideal arrangement. We were surprised to see that the mansion was a very pleasant but smallish house
From the mansion, we suggest you drive round the park, as it is quite a walk otherwise, so follow back towards the main gate at start of the driveway
Or take this ride first of all before pulling in to the car park for the mansion. From the gate turn left and follow the signs for Mansion House, and Woven
It is a pleasant ride along the meadows, and ideal during the Spring as daffodils are in full bloom
Over to the left the low lying Spa and Fitness centre can be seen
It’s car park is signed and stands just before you reach the Spa, but it’s a bit of a way to walk from the car park to the Spa, but driving on you will pass the very pleasant pool and walkway
Then you reach the main House
If your carer is fit enough and willing, why not pull into the main car park which is over to the LEFT of the main house, and follow the curved path that leads towards the Mansion
But walking to pass the entrance for the house just continue to the far corner and turn left to follow the path towards the gardens. Then turn left to go along the long path and passing the formal gardens that lead towards the Tennis court
This is a nice little walk anyway

Continue your walk towards the stone buildings ahead
Just walk straight ahead to pass the delightful cottages and you will come out onto the main drive
Turn right and pass the round bricked tower

Having arrived along the main A30 then A329, the main sign for COWORTH PARK was a welcomed sign that we were about to see an outstanding estate
and we passed through the metal gates
and were directed to follow the signs to the left for the Mansion House (photo 3) seen in the Distance.
You drive along well maintained meadows
now filled with early March golden daffodils and drove to pass the main house on our right, which looked so promising, until a few feet later we turned left into the Mansion car park area
a large enough car park, and found a bay close to the main path which will lead towards the house

but well maintained and inviting, so pushed the wheelchair along the path to reach the main forecourt
where a very pleasant and friendly valet parking attendant greeted us and invited us to step into the mansion.The entrance is on the level with wide opening doors
and already a feeling of contentment enveloped us, and this was greatly added to as we arrived at the reception desk
and were so warmly welcomed by attentive staff members. The reception desks were more than tidy, and looked as a busy desk should look like, clear of unnecessary paper work and ready to greet guests
Ahead a large open lounge area awaited us
which seemed so inviting for tired excited visitors, beautifully decorated in muted colours and comfortable seating
with a choice of seating areas, with freshly picked winter plants and spring flowers on display wherever you glanced
and we loved the ornamental desk topped lights that highlighted the glass chandelier suspended from the ceiling above them.
However, enthralled though we were, it was the promise of a coffee and tea break that beckoned us ahead towards the large glass panelled windows overlooking the gardens that caught our attention and the comfortable leather chairs that promised luxury beyond the normal
and a very pleasant waiter took our drinks order, before returning with solid ornamental silver ware from which a most delightful pot of tea was poured
while Veronica enjoyed a hot and a very nice handmade hot chocolate with crispy fresh homemade biscuits that delighted us both, so it’s no wonder we both look contented and happy enough with our introduction to COWORTH PARK

offers three choices of dining, with the main restaurant being the lovely Woven. You enter from reception area into its bar lounge
a delightful area, small and compact, with muted colour schemes, plain and simple lounge chairs that faces the bar itself
from which you will enter the Wovan restaurant
Stepping through the narrow doorway, you face the large wine cabinet
filled with expensive and elaborate selection of fine wines, before being taken to your seat
many privately screened for privacy, and again in plain simple muted colour schemes which adds to its charm. A corner seating area overlooks the magnificent terraced gardens
from which you may step outside and enjoy during the warmer months el Fresco dining if you so wish, or at least an after dinner drink.
The beautiful balustrades lead to the garden areas, a truly well laid out area, worth investigating perhaps
but certainly well worth your admiring glances
Afternoon tea may be taken in the small but lovely room at the cafe end of the gardens, attached to the main hotel itself which received many a praise from those indulging today
Just before the Woven restaurant you will find an attractive staircase and passage
guiding you along to the toilets, one of which is an accessible toilet, with lovely grey and white tiles that complement the highly polished stainless bars and modern white furnished bars with grab rails and pull cord
You will enjoy the soft cotton hand towels proved in wooden baskets and luxurious hand creams
If you are staying overnight, a lift is available close by to take you to your room
During the afternoon an alternative restaurant is available, a short distance away from the main mansion, which you can be taken to by the staff in their buggy, or you can ride along yourself along the path that leads from the formal garden area, Or by following the main driveway from the mansion and round to the beautiful pond gardens, a walk of around five minutes, but worth the effort. Simply follow The Barn signposts
