Venue Description

A 10-minute walk from Birmingham city centre, Hotel at Conference Aston is set within quiet landscaped campus grounds. It features free Wi-Fi and en suite bedrooms, each with a TV. Each of the modern rooms is stylishly decorated and comes with facilities for making tea and coffee. There is also a telephone and work space for guests to use. The main restaurant at Hotel at Conference Aston serves a varied menu featuring locally sourced produce, with a lighter menu available in the bar. After dinner, guests can relax in the lounge area, which has Sky TV. Guests staying at the hotel have complimentary access to the nearby Victorian Sports Centre which features a gym and Birmingham's oldest swimming pool. With a central location, Hotel at Conference Aston is less than 1 mile from the National Indoor Arena and the famous Bull Ring shopping centre. The NEC and Birmingham International Airport are approximately 20 minutes away by taxi. Birmingham New Street Rail Station is a 15-minute walk from the building.

Accessibility

Our main entrance is on a level ground. There is a revolving door and a separate accessible entrance that has an accessible door button that activates the doors for entrance. Venue has several lifts to all public levels and accessible bedrooms.

Accessible Performances

Our venue has hearing loop installed in conference room 1, 144 & 145 and is available at reception. We do not currently offer discount for carers, however we do have twin rooms available.

Toilets

Accessible toilets on premises are with step free access. Doors are wide enough for manual and power wheelchairs. There are grab rails and easy turn locks and taps.

Staff

Our venue has appointed two Accessibility Champions who have had training from Welcome to Excellence program. They are holding regular training sessions with members of staff to keep accessibility in our hearts and minds always.

Water bowls are available upon request. A dog toilet is available on the Aston University campus, approximately 200 metres from the hotel. Walk down Aston Street, turn left after Tesco Express, and the Dog Toilet area is straight ahead on the opposite side of the car park.
